I've been obsessing over "fluid text" effect and decided to combine this with two things I love - literature and retro games (in this case Space Invaders).
You play against a backdrop of classic literature excerpts (think Pride and Prejudice). As your ship moves <- / -> and as you fire the lasers at the invading aliens, there is this smooth ripple effect around the characters and words. Defeating the wave of aliens awards you with a beautiful quote from one of the books. You just have to see it for yourselves.
