Separately, I've started reaching out to hiring managers, recruiters, agencies etc to get their input. There has been a common thread in their response, AI is used to review and "grade" submissions but its not uncommon for lower graded submissions to actually get the job over higher graded submissions.
A few are using off the shelf software, others have created their own harness. We are seemingly in the world of applicants using AI to help apply, and AI grading the submissions. With Pandora's box opened, it's difficult to see AI ever being completely removed from the process, but it feels like a vicious cycle.
(Job Market is tough -> People using AI to apply (sometimes auto apply) to jobs with targeted, enhanced or fabricated CVs -> Job openings receiving increased and overwhelming number of applications -> using AI to help filter and reduce the noise -> repeat).
For people hiring, are you seeing the same? Do CV's carry the same weight as they use to and are screen calls now a necessary requirement? For people applying, how often are getting feedback & are far are you tailoring your CV?
