I made a Chrome Extension (lovingly coded with some LLM assistance) that makes it easy to use privacy respecting alternative front-ends for popular sites.
The best use case today is redirecting Reddit to the Redlib interface, which gets rid of algorithmic feeds, distractions, the login requirement, etc. It's like old Reddit and new Reddit had a baby and it was beautiful.
It used to be great for using Nitter (rip).
It comes with some good example redirects and instances out of the box. It's super easy to toggle the redirect from the extension popup.
You can also make your own custom redirects or even block a site.
