Well you can use it as a web app, but to have virtual monitors you need to install the complete app yes. As a web app, only native apps (community, notes , calculator) and apps that don't require installs, iframes..

No you can share apps or website in the library. When you click on explore theres a public library. Of apps, sites, and User Dashboards.
