Ask HN: Estimate for SWE wages in 10 years?

1•NotAnOtter•40m ago
What direction do you think SWE wages are headed in, 10 years from now?

There are obvious economic pressures pushing them down; mostly AI.

But also some pushing them up; AI makes the transition from college student -> Junior significantly harder, Junior -> Senior is also challenging. AI is scaring away some students, etc.

What's your estimate?
