I've read Eloquent JavaScript, Professional JavaScript for Web Developers, and JavaScript: The Definitive Guide (twice), gone through the React docs and the TypeScript handbook, and completed freeCodeCamp's JavaScript data structures and algorithms course. What else can I do to improve my JavaScript skills?

Make stuff. Figure out where your ideas break down and how to work around that.

I've already built some small projects, but I don't think building more of the same will improve my skills much

If you use React, understand custom hooks. They make error handling, auth, a lot cleaner, and you can easily switch from ContextProviders to reducers if need be.
Another thing, read about Promise.all() for real concurrency, just chaining async calls is a bottleneck, if the calls are independent.

Build stuff. Skill honing comes from doing. Expertise does not come from reading books.
