Even Democrats can side with an issue with broad bi-partisan support. This may mark a change from old-line "cater to big donors" attitudes.
Sneaky and strong-arm tactics used by data center builders to get permission to build, and Trump's adamant support of said donors, and delight in environment-busting water, land and petrochemical variances, especially in red states, has added to the pushback.
Somehow getting "Citizens United" reversed, which allowed unlimited amounts of money to enter politics, would help. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer "One person, one vote" to "One dollar, one vote."
