Model # list (US) https://us.anker.com/pages/product-recalls
whycome•7mo ago
They should be required to add a photo for each.
Jtsummers•7mo ago
> They should be required to add a photo for each.

Each entry there is a link, and the pages they link to have images. So no need require anything, it's already done.

whycome•7mo ago
Wow Then just a case of terrible UX? Nothing indicates anything is a link. And then clicking through there is a single composite image in a tiny header? Would it be hard to show the model numbers with the product image next to it?
Jtsummers•7mo ago
https://www.anker.com/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.shop...

Like that?

whycome•7mo ago
yes. That would be the single tiny composite image in the header. Do you see why it's bad? And why it's placement is bad? Esp on mobile.

Thanks. I was under the impression that EU sites weren't allowed to force consent for advertising cookies.

I heard Anker was banned from Amazon for buying reviews
whycome•7mo ago
Aukey maybe?
jerlam•7mo ago
Aukey, Mpow, Tomtop, RAVPower, Taotronics, VAVA

https://www.tomsguide.com/news/amazons-removal-of-aukey-ravp...

I did notice that Anker's web site is an actual store now, taking and shipping orders. It used to only link to Amazon.

mrheosuper•7mo ago
such a shame, their stuff is quite good.
Jtsummers•7mo ago
GP is incorrect, they haven't been banned from Amazon unless someone else is selling their products under their name:

Only some batches of these model numbers, though. I got an email saying mine had been recalled, but when I put in the serial number on their website, it said the batch was unaffected so mine is still safe to use.
JLO64•7mo ago
Well darn. I checked my battery’s serial number on their site and it was a positive match. I opted for a gift card but have had yet to receive it. Hopefully it won’t take long!

Bought two anker chargers. Both died within weeks. No clear return policy. Never buying from that brand again.
