I'm glad services like Bandcamp sell DRM-free music in FLAC. I don't really care how many steps it should have been, I want my music DRM-free.

Spotify has been getting really bad on my end. It is practically useless for anything beyond discovery and listening to mainstream slop now.

If I try to play the same obscure album more than 5 times, there's a very strong chance it will magically disappear and then reappear as some shitty remaster with half the tracks missing a few days later.

I have never used Spotify so I have no opinion on it, but have you tried YouTube Premium / Music? You can find all the music plus other types of good stuff you might like.

in good quality?

You'll have to decide this for yourself. For me it's good enough. I had a 200 GB FLAC collection many years ago. I can't tell the difference and I don't care to try.
