Show HN: Semantic Art – Uses natural language prompts to find real artwork

https://www.semantic.art/

We built a search engine for art that uses natural language prompts to find real artwork instead of generating art.

this is really nice.

Hey, pretty nice work! Are you using any CLIP-like model for image retrieval? If so, would you try FG-CLIP 2 (https://360cvgroup.github.io/FG-CLIP) and see how it'll improve the search results. We just open-sourced this model, which excels in fine-grained image-text understanding, and I met your post right before I post our work on HN.

A wonderful way of showing what AI can do to expose human creativity.

love the tongue-in-cheek foil to AI image generation. Prompt -> Human-generated image instead of AI-generated image.

so cool! it's fun to play with prompting in art space.

Love it

This is a fantastic project! I love the idea of using prompts to discover real, human-made art instead of generating new images. It's a wonderful tool for art discovery. Great work!

This is really cool, I tried a few times and loved it immediately!

The semantic routing step with intent classification and query rewriting was fascinating. The fact that multiple indexes were used is also understated. Is there anywhere one can explore the internals?
