Show HN: It's Like Clay but in Google Sheets

https://www.getvurge.com/
9•rahulsingh34•1mo ago
Hey everyone! After struggling a lot with data enrichment for SMBs, I launched a Google Sheets add-on that gives you direct access to an AI-powered webscraper.

Vurge lets you get structured information from any website right inside your Google Sheet, eliminating the need for learning a new tool or adding a new dependency for data enrichment.

Let me know what you think!

Please make it easy for users to try your thing out, ideally without barriers such as signups or emails

I think that, at a minimum, if you're going to describe your thing as "like X, but Y", then you should have a link to a description of X (especially if X is a generic, non-Googleable term), or, better, an independent description for people who are interested in finding out what your thing is but don't necessarily care about X. Otherwise, people who know nothing about X end up clicking through, finding nothing helpful, and now they still don't know what X is, and they don't know what your thing is, either.

I know you don't mean "80 monthly requests" as one request = one data point scraped, but I'm having trouble trying to understand what you actually mean for your pricing.
brailsafe•1mo ago
Clay as in pottery? Seems odd to have no link or context for that; it's just a single noun, but used so prominently
hobofan•1mo ago
Clay as in clay.com. But yeah, it shouldn't be assumed that people know that.

80 monthly requests ?

80 seems low for an hour, let alone a month
