For moms, not for women, but sure

As a high earning single dad, I find that focus on woman cringe worthy. The problems have nothing to do with sex.

One of my older co-workers is a widow and also a single dad for ages.

We -- the 16% of single parents, that are dads in our society -- rarely speak up?

If you want to really get me piss angry: treat me like a "white old men" and totally ignore that I want equal rights for my children (boys _and girls_).

(And no, that doesn't invalid the observations completely. It's just... yeah, I get it 5/6 single parents are woman... still: argh)

By your own logic, anything that can be done 'for women' would equally benefit you. You are in a woman's societal role, and being marginalized to the point of invisibility comes with the territory.

It is the same as "1 in 4 homeless people are women". I guess when it was mostly men, it was not a problem...

You're simply right. What's much worse is The Atlantic has no shame and will never apologize for it.
cultofmetatron•1h ago
the problem is that a lot of serious issues (the men's mental health crisis) including those faced by both genders is not taken seriously until it affects women. This is a western culture thing. largly why I've mostly tuned out of western social issues. the layers of BS run deep and most people can't see it or have an idiological axe to grind
