What Is Starlink Mesh? – Starlink Help Center

This sounds more interesting than it actually is. Starlink routers, provided with the standard service, support Eero-like mesh networking for use in larger homes.

It would be cool if this was some sort of multi-dish arrangement, but it is not.

Why is this on the front page?
haunter•1w ago
Why not? Interesting technology and people upvote it
Titan2189•1w ago
What's interesting about it? Wifi Mesh networks have been around for ... more than a decade?
jonplackett•1w ago
It’s just a mesh router, they’ve been around for years. I don’t get it.

I thought it was going to be something about Starlink making mesh networks so they could still be used in an internet shutdown… but no. It’s just a WiFi router.

Must be a quiet night - 9 points to get on the front page is pretty unusual.

I was hoping they'd finally added a feature to their dishes to allow terrestrial interconnect.

So when my dish can't getting the best line-of-sight view to the satellites it can piggyback on my many neighbor's better connections to improve mine.
