Show HN: An HN client that summarises long threads and lets you chat with them

I often find interesting things in Hacker News posts and comments, but threads are often long and take a lot of time to go through.

I built Rundown for this. It's a cross-platform desktop app with Claude Code and Codex integration that gives me a rundown of the post and comments, with links back to the comments it pulled each bit from. I can also chat with the post or the entire thread.

This is a really nice idea. HN threads can be a rabbit hole, so being able to get the gist without losing the original comment context is pretty compelling

I use this little ruby script to help me digest some of the long threads. It breaks down a discussion into points of consensus and disagreement and fleshes out the most interesting bits and then I copy that into any random LLM service https://github.com/Adrian1707/hacker_news_helper/blob/main/h...
