This says every smart contract should have a backdoor (they use nice words like "owner" and "upgrade", but that's functionally the backdoor)

Wasn't the whole point of smart contracts that the "code is law", that people can audit the code they put their money into, and no one can change it?

If you are going to put the backdoors in, might as well do the regular finance. Much cheaper, no gas fee, more functionality and so on.
