I am the author of an open source media viewer called Lowkey Media Viewer that's been around for years and has some users and Patreon support, but I've always wanted to add some basic editing features to it. I have some experience with After Effects and one thing I always wanted was a way to just create effects on the fly with a shader language. This lead me to try building a compositor around the idea of layered shader chains resulting in this first attempt which has come out pretty well. I've made a library of presets, but you can actually just write your own shaders and add them to any layer. It's pretty cool so I wanted to share it. Everything is MIT License, and this is just one part of the lowkey project which also includes the viewer, and a media server for async indexing, vector embedding jobs. The Studio is particularly cool though and its available directly from the docs site, and also in the media viewer app.
