I didn't see anybody else modifying pbf files for custom routing, but it's pretty useful. I can just focus on the data with the frontend/UI being fully handled by more specialized applications like Osmand or Comaps. It also means I can use the custom routing in Android Auto or Apple Carplay without much effort.
