Show HN: Faro, an unofficial Signal client for the terminal

https://getfaro.dev/
2•harababurel•5h ago
I built this as a modern TUI alternative to existing Signal clients, after using gurk for a short while and feeling that the UX could be improved (it's a perfectly good client though; I just wanted something matched to my specific taste). It is heavily inspired from opencode-cli, btop and neovim. Implemented in Rust using Ratatui. Supports most features I use everyday, including some modern tricks (images rendered directly in the terminal, voice message transcription using local models, adjacent message bubbles morphing together, etc). The demo on the landing page is exactly the same as the terminal app, but uses fake scripted conversations and contacts. Hope you find it useful!
