This is a massive handicap for being productive on the go. Why would they do that?
I first thought it was a workspace policy, but after talking to my coworkers it doesn’t seem to be that.
Anybody know something that would explain this product decision? Do you guys also experience this?

However safari does some of the same stuff you’re describing. I’ve found it difficult to edit a single typo in a URL or get to the end of it to add or modify a path lately. And then I can’t cut or copy characters in some fields unless I first add a few more— then the copy and cut options come back.
I’ve seen it groused about on HN ..and though I just had no problem cutting and pasting this URL from safari just now, I’m with you — this comes and goes anx I spend a lot of time swearing at this behavior
I can consistently reproduce it on WP editor in safari - seems like it starts leaking memory after two or three edit/saves and can only be cured by clearing cache and starting over. Even then it’s become unusable and I lose work so I have to use desktop
Editing HN comments hits it too.
