Ask HN: Should I build *another* Markdown task manager?

1•simchri•2h ago
I was feeling annoyed by Jira again and had to somehow get that out of my system. So I wrote a sketch of a task management system, that I would enjoy using. This is written like a README, as if it it already existed (but nothing is implemented yet). --> https://github.com/simchri/md.agile/blob/main/README.vision.md I know that some similar tools exist (Tasks.md, MDTASK), but they don't quite cut it for me.

Does it make sense to pursue this project? Is this something you would use? What am I missing? Any feedback is welcome.

Only if you vibe code it, otherwise you will spend longer building it than the time you save from it suiting you well.

> Is this something you would use?

No. I have my own markdown checklist of things which need to get done, and each day I pull in tasks from the heap as I have energy and urgency for them.

For repeating tasks, it is easy to copypaste from the day before.

It looks like this: https://github.com/BenWheatley/DailyPlan/blob/master/2021.md
