It would be interesting as an experimentation, if you can collect data for plants, to see the effects of different experiments and pest control.

Yes — I've actually built a journal feature into the app with loggable events (pest sightings, harvests with quantities, condition milestones) so that we capture real quantifiable data points rather than simply written text journal entries. The hope is that we can learn from that information and continue to refine guidance, and possibly the watering profiles by crop.

I guess a good amount of the HN crowd would say that this can be replicated from within Home Assistant (probably with some LLM help) with the added benefit of even better hardware freedom (from cheap Aliexpress soil sensor and/or sprinker or drip system to brand-name ones) and total control of data.

Still, the same thing was said about Dropbox; hopefully there's enough people willing to pay for the convenience to sustain this business.
