What if you end up with unmaintainable junk? What if it almost works, and you have to fix it, and you have no idea how?

None of this is new ground.

I admit at first, I thought the title meant, what if I can fix the issue faster than you can explain it to me? Because I wrote the code, and know where the demons hide.
