Show HN: I built Snapquo because I hated doing quotes and invoices at night

https://snapquo.com/
1•maclinz•1h ago
I spent years working on the tools in my family's business, doing tiling, painting and decorating.

The work itself was fine. What I hated was getting home after a full day on site and then having to sit down and do quotes, invoices and chase customers.

We were also on Checkatrade. The old page is still there, so this is something I actually dealt with myself, not a problem I spotted from the outside.

You'd spend the day measuring up jobs and talking to customers, then get home tired and realise you've still got a load of quotes to write.

That was the reason I started building Snapquo.

It's a mobile app and a web app, so you can use it however suits the job. You might put a quote together while you're still on site, or take a few photos and finish it later in the office. If you've got a bigger quote to work on, you can sit at a computer and do it there.

The basic idea is pretty simple. Get the quote done, send it to the customer, let them accept and sign it, take a deposit if you want to, and then turn it into an invoice.

It now has things like:

• Quotes you can build quickly from your phone

• Photos and optional extras

• Customer acceptance and signatures

• Deposits

• Automatic quote follow-ups

• Quote-open tracking

• Saved prices

• Quote to invoice

• Online payments

• Pipeline and win/loss tracking

• iPhone, Android and web apps

• Free tools for things like VAT, CIS, Day rate calculator, Invoice generator and a lot more.

I have deliberately tried not to turn it into another massive CRM with loads of features that a small trade business probably doesn't need.

I wanted something I would have actually used when I was on the tools.

I'd genuinely like to hear your feedback. Thanks :)
