I’ve noticed a sizable decrease in Amazon Prime delivery speed and quality this year. Items often see their delivery window constantly pushed back, even to the next day. Some items have gone missing. Some arrived damaged. A far cry from the early days. Waiting for the inevitable price increase to counterbalance the decreased service.

Shortage of desperate labor for gig work. Uber, DoorDash, Amazon deliveries, etc.
Amazon could just switch to USPS for the last mile, they choose not to for profitmaxxing. Only lasts so long as the prime working age cohort continues to shrink in the US, pushing wages up.
