Of course it does.

It also tries to convince me the need to contact 11 different government organizations for permission to calculate 2+2.

The AI companies speak of "safety rails" as if the limitations and modifications exist to keep the population safe.

Those of us routinely frustrated by what should be simple responses, and who have seen how easily the "safeties" are subverted, know the effort exists to save the business model and cash flow.

Much as "this call may be monitored for quality assurance" in reality translates to "anything you say can and will be used against you should we decide."

Also, in regards to the medical industry, I lost a tiny teeny part of a finger in a shop tool accident, and the follow up surgeon wanted to sew my finger to my abdomen for 3 weeks.

Realizing he was offering the "state of the art" in healing procedures, I wasn't offended, but doing the risk/reward math on a $20,000+ procedure, for a spec of flesh, cemented my decision to use neosporin and bandaids.

I also turned down the $500+ custom 3d printed finger splint, and bought 3 printers instead.

Caveat emptor.
