This almost certainly just shows its usual orbit. I've had no luck finding a source of real-time info.

The European Space Agency (ESA) publishes occasional updates here: https://blogs.esa.int/rocketscience/2025/05/07/reentry-predi... . The most recent one is from about 1h20m ago:

"10 May 09:56 CEST. As the descent craft was not spotted by radar over Germany at the expected 07:32 UTC / 09:32 CEST pass, it is most likely that the reentry has already occurred."

This was published about 20 minutes ago, but basically just quotes ESA:

"Kosmos-482: Out-of-control Russian spacecraft probably just fell to Earth, experts say" https://www.independent.co.uk/space/kosmos-482-russian-space...

Yeah, frustrating. I posted it when I found it because it looked so promising, then was disappointed to find the data was delayed like everyone else’s. So many pretty dots though.

I was going to update the post and then the cat yakked, which is similar, not the same, yet far more impactful on my personal space, gnome sane?

"According to calculations by specialists from TsNIIMash (part of Roscosmos), the spacecraft entered the dense layers of the atmosphere at 9:24 Moscow time, 560 km west of Middle Andaman Island, and fell in the Indian Ocean west of Jakarta."

Pretty deep ocean around there. So, probably no search party?

emmelaich•9mo ago
https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=6073 was tracking it but then got overloaded (mysql connection errors). But now shows it no longer in orbit.
