As a fledgling hobbyist cartoonist growing up, I found this "behind the scenes" look on the work that goes into making the end product super interesting! Thank you for sharing.

The Charles Addams biography, "A Cartoonist's Life" has some interesting details about the New Yorker process back then. One of the bits I found most interesting was that the cartoonists would look through each other's discarded sketches for ideas and often find something they could make work better.
