You need to login to have a look... However:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0wJ1THEjNg

mnky9800n•3mo ago
none of that looks like it is a real interactive thing. It looks like it is a sora video.
jpalomaki•3mo ago
It seems to be a new take on text based adventure games. You tell what to do, then the game computes the results and shows them as short video clip. Then you make your next moves and so on.
mnky9800n•3mo ago
tbh, i would rather play zork than zork-ai. my imagination is worth something to me.
yeasku•3mo ago
I am not giving you my email
vntok•3mo ago
You don't have to "give" your main email address, if that makes you uncomfortable for some reason; simply create a new one, after all it's completely free.
yeasku•3mo ago
I care about my time more than my email.
lagosfractal42•3mo ago
Ok so login with your email then
tyrust•3mo ago
The implication might be that if they're not willing to give their email then they will definitely not give their time.
r0fl•3mo ago
You can create a throwaway Gmail account ONCE and use it for all demos for the rest of your life.

It’ll take most 3 minutes to do that.

eMPee584•3mo ago
very throw-away then
r33b33•3mo ago
Yeah, nobody wants to go through that. Let us use for free and see if it's worth it.
mathgeek•3mo ago
You should have an interactive demo as a way to show folks your product is real before asking for their Google account. Right now it’s easy to assume this is plussed up and not really offering what folks expect.
vntok•3mo ago
That seems complex because every second of interactive video costs money to generate, to the tune of 10 credits per 4s of video or "player action" if I understand correctly.
merth•3mo ago
put some prerendered videos, few of the good ones.
vntok•3mo ago
Sure, they won't be interactive though.
fakedang•3mo ago
Still a better demo than nothing.
biinjo•3mo ago
It would be like a gameplay demo. Will show what it would be like but not interactive. Not uncommon, right?
voodooEntity•3mo ago
While for certain historical scenarios interesting, for "real world" experience this to me seems like speedrunning "dystopy" - we already face young people getting more and more disconnected from reality (yeye im spending way to much time on my screen also :P) and i, at least around me, can see a clear trend from people making their own experience to people more and more shutting themself down from the "outside world" - just ingesting tons of "contents". The example video linked in another comment showing someone smell a flower, or a friendly overnighter - this should be things you really experience yourself not things you should watch secondhand. People should stop wondering why depression and loneliness are on the rise - Feels just like heading an absolutely bad way....
cactusplant7374•3mo ago
Runway ML has something similar: https://play.runwayml.com/login

It's quite fun and you can inject a lot of interesting things into your adventure.

madhacker•3mo ago
no disposable Gmail account so a hard pass
TheAtomic•3mo ago
Have no fear, I logged in and tested this ... almost.

Logged in with f'g G, picked an "experience," waited 30 sec to load(!) then picked 8 sec run from 4 / 8 / 12 sec...

"Not enought credits." Hmm. Somehow I thought it was a demo but I guess, yeah.

TL/DR: Nowhere close to ready for prime time.

mathgeek•3mo ago
So it sounds like this isn’t interactive. Just a wrapper around generating Sora videos with memory? Cool to see it as a real product, but not what folks consider “interactive” generally.
chaosprint•3mo ago
you need to provide some videos at least
alienbaby•3mo ago
