They shouldn't be so dependent on any one source for the things that they need. Especially if that one source is in one of the least stable areas of the planet. Hopefully one of the few good things to come out of this disaster will be countries working out alternative sources for things like oil and jet fuel that don't depend on the middle east or coming up with ways to function without them.
